Student Goal:

1)The purpose of this lesson is to understand the law of color as it relates to all forms of haircoloring along with successfully demonstrating various haircolor techniques and salon-ready trends

 

    2) The purpose of the second week of this lesson is to gain knowledge on Wigs and Hair additions as it has becompopular                service in most salons to service all types of multicultural clients who want to add length, thickness, or fun pops of color into          their hair without making it permanent.

Student Objective:

1)Given multiple lectures, examples, study guides, guided practice and student resources, the students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of hair color theories and procedures by completing a written and performance assessment that requires a grade of 75% or higher. Upon completion of this lesson students will: 1. Identify the principles of color theory as they relate to haircolor. 2. Explain level and tone and their role in formulating haircolor. 3. List the 4 different categories of hair color 4. Explain the action of hair lighteners.

2) Given multiple lectures, examples, study guides and guided practices the students will be able to understand why cosmetologists should study wigs and hair
additions, be able to explain the differences between human hair and synthetic hair, examine the two basic categories of wigs, distinguish several types of hairpieces and their uses, and review several different methods of attaching hair extensions according to industry standards.
