Dr. Broderick is also a professor of Education and Literacy and currently teaches at PennGSE in Literacy Studies department.

In the SEA program, Dr. Broderick uses the arts as both a research methodology and classroom pedagogy. Her research explores how pre-service and practicing teachers use the arts as a method of inquiry into teaching and learning, and argues for a more expansive approach that recognizes art making as research methodology and a powerful way to represent research findings.
